What makes things persuasive

Persuasion is really important for people who want to achieve certain accomplishments for a certain cause. In class, we saw a video about wild horses and how many people are trying to protect them. The creator of the video used many different traits that made the viewer feel affected. Here are some of these things.

Music. The music in the video made us feel sorry for the horses. It created an environment that helped the horses.

Celebrities. The video used celebrities to talk about the horse crisis. This makes the celebrities' followers to join the cause, therefore being a success.

Facts. The video said that the original 2 million wild horses were reduced to 30 thousand or less. The facts make things more persuasive because they show that there is proof behind the causes and not just some people asking for help.

American Heritage. "if we kill all wild horses, the american heritage will be lost". That was the message of the video. It makes all USA feel sorry and wish to join the cause. It is a very clever persuasive technique.

Happy vs Sad horse. The video showed clips of happy wild horses in the open galloping and their manes dancing with the air AND they showed clips about confined, stressed out wild horses that are not happy and are not moving around freely like mother nature decided.

These were the persuasive traits that we discussed in class about the video. I bet there are more persuasive traits but these were the ones we saw in class.
